21650 lithium cell — Ø21 × 65 mm cylindrical cell
The 21650 (Ø21 × 65 mm) sits between the 18650 and 21700: it keeps the shorter 65 mm height of the 18650 while widening the can to 21 mm for more capacity and a lower internal resistance. We supply it in NCM (Mn) chemistry, a manganese-rich formulation tuned for high-rate discharge — a 3500 mAh high-rate variant for power-dense designs that are height-constrained.
How to read the model number
Capacity and cell type are encoded in the model number. The prefix marks the chemistry (INR = NCM) and the suffix marks the type — D high-power, E energy-storage, P high C-rate, PL low-temperature and M / MF high-safety (LMFP / LiFePO4). Full specs — weight, internal resistance, charge/discharge rates, cutoff voltage and cycle life — are listed in the table above and in the datasheet.
Typical applications
The 21650 is a good fit for cordless power tools and e-bikes & e-scooters where high discharge current matters but pack height is limited. If you need more energy per cell, compare it with the 21700; for the most common format, see the 18650.
